“Paper Mountain” is the winner of the VI contest of art Hotel Carlton

The play “Paper Mountain” Suberviola Amaya Garcia, has been the winner of this contest; the second prize (untitled) has been to Nagore Amenabarro Irastorza,; and the play “Sunset in the swamp,” Colorado Ainhoa ​​Cobos, has won the third prize.

On September 16 at 13:00 pm in the Hall The Carlton Hotel Cristalera, they have unveiled the winners of the VI Contest of Art Hotel Carlton. The play “Paper Mountain” Suberviola Amaya Garcia, has been the winner of this contest; the second prize was for an untitled work of Nagore Amenabarro Irastorza; and the play “Sunset in the swamp,” Colorado Ainhoa ​​Cobos, has won the third prize.

This contest aims to promote art and culture younger, and is organized by the Carlton Hotel Bilbao collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV / EHU. In this edition you have selected a total of 30 works, which have been exhibited from 20 August to 4 September in the lobby of the Hotel Carlton.

All exhibited works are unpublished and original, with a technique, size, two-dimensional format and subject to the free choice of the artist.

The first prize has an endowment of € 3,000; the second, € 2,000; and the third prize of 1,000 €.

The jury consists of Mercedes Prado, Commissioner of Art; Maria Sol Corral, representing the Hotel Carlton; Xabier Aguirre, professor of Painting Faculty Fine UPV / EHU Genoveva Flaxseed and Arts; Faculty Painting Department Professor Fine UPV / EHU Arts

 

The winning works will become part of the heritage of the Hotel Carlton.
